Greetings Team Bolivia!!!
My name is Kristen McKee and I’ll be one of your leaders this summer. I returned home the World Race in November, and have been bouncing all over since then. I’m really excited to spend 3 weeks with you all in Bolivia.
About Me
I’m a 26-year-old graduate student at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. I’m pursuing my Masters in Education so that I can help international students transition into American culture, and eventually teach overseas. I’m also on staff with a non-profit organization who raises funds for an orphanage in the Amazon Jungle. I love teaching the world about Jesus, singing for Him, and striving to provide for the needs of street children all over Latin America. I’m blessed to do what I LOVE.
why missions??
Every summer I go to Iquitos, Peru where I serve in a children’s home for about a month. This is the highlight of my year. I spend my days helping the kids with homework, teaching English, getting into mud fights, gallivanting through the jungle, avoiding poisonous creatures and swinging in hammocks. These children hold such a special place in my heart and have become a part of my family. The Lord has used them to teach me innumerable lessons about the His might, immeasurable joy, and endless grace. As much as I love these children though, I felt the Lord calling me to step out of my comfort zone and to let Him guide me into service elsewhere for a while. I wanted to explore the nations and testify to His greatness all over the world, not just in Peru. So, I traveled the world for a year on the World Race, and Bolivia is next on the list of pursuing that call…

- sunflowers and tulips are my favorite flowers.
- i love disney movies.
- i have an exaggerated sense of smell.
- i could live off watermelon and mango.
- i went to a performing arts high school.
- i lead mission teams to Peru about 3 x’s a year.
- I love to sing.

hey, I look forward to meeting you :)– and btw, i agree, disney movies are the best. (my personal favorite is peter pan)– but anyway– so are there any days on this trip that we will be site-seeing? i’ve been wondering that, and no one has really said anything about it.?
i cant wait to meet you! i have always wanted to go to Peru. it seems like an awesome place. and i sing all the time, but that doesn’t mean its good, haha. and the songs i sing are mostly from disney movies(which i love)
