Hello Friends!
In the past months my family and friends would ask me if I was getting excited about the trip and I would nod my head uncontrollably and grin goofily and tell them, "Yes, very excited." Now, as the days whittle down, everytime someone says 'Bolivia' my stomach does flips and my hands get clammy. I'm still very exicted, but I'm also very nervous. This has been in my prayers, along with each one of you and the Bolivians.
I have to be honest, I'm nervous to meet you all. Mostly because I don't know what to expect, but in Saturday's passage, Jesus said, "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one." To think – we have the glory of GOD! So although I'm nervous, I'm positive that God has picked each one of us personally in order to have the best group possible. Believe me when I say I'm excited to get to know you all and form bonds out of God's glory and love!
Dear Lord,
I pray for our Bolivia team – that you might prepare each of us to become one with each other. I pray that your hand will be in all aspects of our trip, and that you will be with us as we carry out your will. Lord, please allow our group to be fully immersed in you so that the world will know that you have sent us. Please help us form unbreakable ties between us so that we may reflect your love to the people of Bolivia as one. I thank you for each member of our team, and for bringing us together to strengthen one another in the light of your love.
Amen
