Hey everyone, I'm Valerie (or Val, doesn't matter),
and I am 16 and live in the barbeque capital of the world -- Lexington, North Carolina.
(Which is slightly ironic because I think barbeque is wretched.), but enough of
that- I am a very opinionated person, and I love a good debate that makes me
mad.  

I absolutely
love drawing – art is one of my passions. Portraits are my favorite things to
draw, and I have drawn 9 in the past year. Depending on the size, they take me
anywhere from 4 – 35 hours to complete. I hope to be an art teacher for
high-school aged students or an architect.

 I
have absolutely no athletic skill, and my hand-eye coordination is non-existent.
I also can't play an instrument-well I guess it's just cause I've never tried-
but I'm sure I would be bad at it.

I am
the youngest of 4, so after this July, I will be the only kid living at home :P
(which I will not like.) I have a sister- who is married, and two brothers. 

FAVORITES:

 MUSIC: I listen to hard-core music, so my favorite
bands are Ill Niño, A skylight Drive, Muse, Vampire Weekend, Skillet, and
Breaking Benjamin. 

 SHOWS: the best shows are LOST- (which I am thoroughly
obsessed with), the office, Community, V, Monk, Everybody Loves Raymond, and
Friends.

 MOVIES:  I
really love action movies, so my favorites would be: Shooter, Dark Night, The
Prestige, and Terminator Salvation. And the Jane Austen movies.

 BOOKS: eh, not so much. Books aren't my thing, but I
do like harry potter, any Doctor Seuss, or any picture books. (im a visual learner and lots of words confuse me-- so i stick with the pictures.)

 PASTIMES: My favorite things to do are: shoot,
dumpster dive (at krispy cream) travel, draw, design buildings, and hang out
with my youth group. 

BUCKET LIST: pet a seal, go to 20
countries, learn how to paint like an impressionist, ride an elephant, shoot an
automatic weapon, and learn karate.
